HYGIENE, REIMAGINED
PlateX is designed around a simple idea: technology can help create more controlled, consistent, and hygienic dining practices, without making the experience feel clinical. So every plate is designed to carry its own identity, and to wait in a treated, climate-held place until it is yours.
DESIGN INTENT — VALIDATION PENDING
IDENTITY
A QR code sits at the centre of every plate. The machine reads it on the way out, and a guest can scan it to pair that plate with the PlateX app — so a plate is a known object, not an anonymous one.
UV-C
The storage columns are designed as sealed chambers with UV-C treatment between cycles, so plates are handled by the mechanism alone from loading to delivery.
CLIMATE
The chamber is designed to hold its set point, keeping plates dry and consistent — the last plate of a service arrives like the first.
A connected plate ecosystem can help organizations rethink how plates are distributed, handled, monitored, and reused. We're not going to claim "zero waste" until our own numbers prove it, this is a direction we're building toward, not a finished result.
